Mary Berry still holds the top spot in ‘The Mail on Sunday’s weekly bestsellers list of non-fiction hardbacks.

The celebrated cookery book author and star of TV’s The Great British Bake Off, who received a CBE in 2012, is currently presenting her own BBC2 six-part series. Entitled ‘Mary Berry Cooks’, the focus of the show is on home cooking.
Her book of the same name was released on February 27 and features a collection of 100 new recipes, including Mary’s menus for each episode of the show.
Episode five will be aired tonight (March 31) at 8.30pm on BBC2. During the show, Mary will be throwing a casual weekday supper. Recipes include a Mediterranean platter, lamb dhansk, cottage pie, a pasta dish, elderflower cordial and an apple crumble.
‘Cake Recipe Collection: (Vol 1) is at number two in in the book chart, with ‘Hairy Bikers’ Asian Adventure’ at number four. Also a BBC TV tie-in, it follows celebrity chefs Si King and Dave Myers tour of Asia to find the best authentic dishes, with recipes from Hong Kong, Japan, Thailand and Korea.
Two other cookbooks also appear in the top 10. ‘The Hummingbird Bakery Home Sweet Home’ by Tarek Malouf is in sixth position, offering over 100 new tried-and-triple-tested recipes that celebrate home baking. ‘Save with Jamie’ by Jamie Oliver is in ninth place.
The list is compiled by Nielsen Bookscan TCM, which collates real time sales from over 6,500 retailers representing over 90% of the UK book market. It appears in the March 30 issue of ‘The Mail on Sunday’s’ ‘Event’ Magazine.
