New company Kurv will supply designer European housewares

Kurv International’s initial partnerships are with Scandinavian design-led company Steel Function and wood range supplier WD Lifestyle.

Danish company Steel Function, which distributes its ranges in over 35 countries, works with both established and new designers, and supplies over 350 items across a broad range of steel, porcelain and combination products.

WD Lifestyle, based in Italy, supplies wood-based products, the point of difference being that each item contains a mix of four types of wood – teak, birch, beech and rubberwood. Every piece incorporates a large element of hand work in its development and is therefore quite individual.

Every WD Lifestyle item is gift boxed and offers unique features, such as the knife block that can be assembled in 64 different ways.

Kurv is headed up by Mark Battison, who has worked with housewares suppliers including Amefa, Gourmet’s Pride and Eurocook. The company will be showing at next year’s Spring Fair on stand 2F45.
