The Spring season marks the start of Exclusively preparations with manufacturers across the sector assessing which products to include in their portfolios, ready for a grand showcase at the trade show.

The show sold 40% of the exhibitor space available for 2024 before the 2023 show even ended; a true testament to the success and popularity of the show. For this reason, we have dedicated this issue to this year’s edition of the show featuring an exclusive interview with Will Jones, BHETA’s chief operations officer and Exclusively chair, as well as insights from key exhibitors about what delegates can expect from their visit.

Another key event in the industry’s annual calendar, the Housewares Awards, will also be making its return. Over the past couple of months, entries have been rolling in and we’re now handing it over to our judging panel of experts. With some fierce competition this year, it is not long until the winners will be announced and the ultimate accolade will be bestowed upon the industry’s finest. So, keep your diary free for Friday 5th July as it’s not an event you want to miss out on.

As we head into the Spring season, retailers will be busy preparing window displays with new themes, colours and visuals. To mark the change in season, we spoke to Home Hardware Southwest’s Pam Moss in an exclusive interview which you can find on page 24. For over 15 years, Home Hardware has become renowned for hosting window dressing competitions for its members. Following its success, we delved into what makes a good window display and how retailers can best engage their customers.

I hope you enjoy the issue!
