New md and sales team appointments at DKB

Bob Moody has been appointed UK managing director with effect from September 1, having been with DKB brand Cole & Mason, William Levene (as DKB was formerly known) and then DKB for a period of 16 years as operations director.

He moves into the managing director position as Nick Cornwell consolidates his DKB group role, taking on overall global responsibility for the DKB household manual appliances business.

The UK sales team also sees the appointment of Steve Phelps to the position of UK sales director. He joined the business this month from Severn Delta, where he was also sales director, and his earlier career has included spells at Gala Coffee, Food Brokers, GlaxoSmithKline and Mars.

Following nine years with the company in the national accounts team, Louise Ayres has taken up the role of national field sales manager, with responsibility for the field-based customers of DKB in UK and Ireland.

Promotions are also announced for Pete Nash, who moves from southern area sales manager to national account executive, for Jo Adger, who moves from her head office sales support role to take up the role of southern area sales manager, and for David Smith, who moves to national account manager.

Finally, Mark Avery will join the business on September 5 as senior national account manager.
