A new book from celebrity cook Nigella Lawson is due for release on September 21.
Published by Chatto & Windus, ‘At My Table’ is described by Nigella as “a celebration of home cooking, and of the meal and memories I’ve shared with family and friends. These are recipes that require no strenuous effort or expertise, just a love of food.”
Dishes include Chicken and Pea Traybake, Rose and Pepper Pavlova, Emergency Brownies, White Chocolate Cheesecake, Butternut and Sweet Potato Curry, Meatballs with Orzo and Apple Gingerjack
Nigella will be taking part in several book signings to promote her new title. Her schedule includes: Waterstones, Canary Wharf (Friday September 22), Cheltenham Literary Festival (Saturday October 14), Guildford Literary Festival (Sunday October 15), Manchester Literary Festival (Friday October 20), Waterstones, Canterbury and Bluewater shopping centre (Wednesday October 25), Waterstones, York and WH Smith, Sheffield (Thursday 26 October 26), and Jarrold, Norwich and Topping & Co, Ely (Tuesday October 31).
In June, the BBC announced that Nigella would be back on our screens ‘later this year’ with a new six part BBC2 series called ‘Nigella: At My Table’. The broadcaster billed the show as ‘a delicious celebration of home cooking,’ adding, ‘in her latest series, Nigella shares the food she cooks for family and friends, from fresh takes on classics she has evolved over time, to colourful dishes with vibrant flavours coming out of mixing ingredients from many different cultures, to bring something new to everyday eating.’
At the time, Nigella said: “I’m excited to be making this new series and to share with viewers many new recipes alongside favourites that have evolved as I’ve cooked them over the years. ‘At My Table’ continues my celebration of home cooking, infusing everyday with pleasure and flavour.”
