Former RTA Wine Racks man Nick Walter has joined The Traditional Winerack Company, a new division of Essex-based wine cellar specialist Sorrells.
Walter, who was RTA’s sales & marketing manager, has taken up the role of sales & marketing director within the new division, which has been created to allow the company to market its products more effectively to the housewares market.
Commenting on the appointment, Sorrells managing director Tim Lewis said: “Sorrells are Europe’s leading specialists in constructing the ideal wine cellar, from the most comprehensive range of racking systems to fully climate-controlled wine cellars. With Nick joining the team we’ll be able to further develop this side
of the business and explore other opportunities.”
Walter said: “The challenge was too interesting to miss. My aim is to grow Sorrells’ retail business from a base which already includes major customers such as Majestic Wine. Sorrells’ unique products will re-invigorate any retailer’s wine accessories offer.”
