The new director of sales for Exclusively Housewares has been announced as Patrick Wade.

Organiser Brooke House Exhibitions said Wade was asked to take on the new role following the recent resignation of Pam Plant, who previously acted as the show’s director and housewares director of trade association BHETA.
Wade has run his own media consultancy since 1999, which, for the past eight years has included his acting as advertisement director of Progressive Housewares magazine, a role he will continue to fulfil.
His connections to the housewares and home sector go back to 1970 when he started working within the DIY market at Link House Publications.
His career has included working as advertisement manager on Hardware Review with Faversham House Group, before moving to Benn Publications in 1982 in an advertising role for its group of home interest titles.
Later he was appointed Board member of both Benn Publications and Benn Retail Publications, becoming a director of BFM Blenheim Exhibitions in 1997, as the publishing and exhibition sides of the business were merged.
During his 16 years at Benn Publications Patrick worked on the launch and development of Housewares Magazine.
