Housewares chain ProCook has announced the proposed closure of two of its stores, at Eastbourne in East Sussex and Thame in Oxfordshire.
Founder Daniel O’Neill said: “We are very sad to announce that we will soon be closing our Eastbourne and Thame shops. For the past few months we’ve been trialling a ProCook High Street model in several stores and unfortunately we have not been able to push trade high enough to make our model work in these two locations.
“We have not taken this decision lightly and want to thank all our customers for their support. Both shops are now in sale until their closure, which will be within the next few weeks. Employees have been offered the option of moving to other positions within the local area, participating in our trainee management scheme, or redundancy.”
