Rainy Day Trust offers coronavirus support

Bryan Clover, ceo of the Rainy Day Trust, has highlighted the programmes and support that the Rainy Day Trust can offer. The organisation and its programmes are designed to support businesses and their staff through times of trouble, offering flexibility in terms of the kind of help available.

There are a number of free-to-all services such as debt advice, legal advice and free telephone counselling.  These services can be accessed by anyone and everyone working for and with businesses in need.  Humans are sociable animals and long periods of isolation can bring anxiety and stress – the telephone counselling service is available to break the cycle of depression before it takes hold.

For those that are on lower salaries, there is a Covid-19 fast-grant alongside the Rainy Day Trust’s routine support.

Mr Clover has urged businesses to communicate with the Trust, not only to ask for help, but also to share experiences such as measures for furloughed staff, what has worked and what should have been done differently. “If we know what is working, we can help to spread the word so that the whole sector benefits,” he said. “You can learn from others’ successes and replicate them.”

Help can be accessed through the website: www.rainydaytrust.org.uk/get-help/  or the helpline on 0203 192 0486.
