Rayware agrees settlement with ProCook

Housewares supplier Rayware has concluded an amicable legal settlement with housewares retailer ProCook over ProCook’s use of the mark “KILNAR” which contravened Rayware’s “KILNER” Trade Mark Registrations.

ProCook has given undertakings not to repeat the unauthorised use, and has paid undisclosed damages. Kate O’Neill, head of marketing at Rayware, commented, “Any individual or company that infringes any intellectual property of the Rayware Group of brands will be rigorously pursued.”

Founded in 1975, the family-owned Rayware Group is a leading houseware supplier of six brands: Kilner, Mason Cash, Typhoon, Viners, Price & Kensington and Ravenhead. From its headquarters in Merseyside, the company designs and develops kitchen, dining and cookware products, and supplies them to department stores, independent cookshops, garden centres and gift shops across the UK and internationally.

ProCook is headquartered in Gloucester and operates 22 stores nationwide and a website at https://www.procook.co.uk/ . Founded almost 20 years ago, it retails housewares for up for 50% less than other leading brands.
