RKW acquires Tower brand

Housewares distributor RKW has acquired the Tower pressure cooker brand from Russell Hobbs.

RKW md Rob Sutton said: “Tower is an excellent fit with the RKW strategy of developing top brands that offer exceptional value for money and will help the business to continue its growth into Europe and beyond.”

Steve Galbraith, housewares buying director for RKW, said: “Tower boasts over 100 years of quality in British manufacturing and design excellence, and this acquisition will enable us to focus on the strength of the brand, by utilising our expertise in research, design and manufacturing.

“We continue to grow market share with Morphy Richards in the housewares sector and Tower fits perfectly allowing us to expand the range the brand has to offer.”

RKW plans a number of new developments for the range, including the revival of its high dome pressure cooker. The company will launch phase one of its Tower brand portfolio at the Spring Fair which runs from February 2 to February 7 at the NEC in Birmingham.
