Sainsbury’s embraces spiralizing craze

Sainsbury’s has seen a significant trend in customers experimenting with different ways to enjoy vegetables, and has launched a 12-strong range of prepped vegetable products in response.

These include Butternut Squash Noodles, referred to as ‘boodles’. The supermarket chain said: ‘These bright strands will add a shot of colour to gloomy winter midweek meals and can be used to replace noodles for healthy stir fry.’

Also available is Courgette Spaghetti. Sainsbury’s commented: ‘Expertly spiralized courgette has reached star status in the legume aisle. Add a ladle-full of your favourite pasta sauce and you’d never guess it’s not the real thing!”

The grocery multiple added: ‘Priced from only £1 and, because they’re ready-prepped, you don’t need a kitchen full of gadgets to enjoy them. They are also a great way for customers to jazz up their everyday meals and do something different and exciting with vegetables.’
