Spring Fair launches The Atelier

Spring Far will reveal an interactive installation to ‘inspire and guide’ visitors to the five-day trade show, which kicks off on February 4 at the NEC in Birmingham.

Called The Atelier (from the French word ‘astelier’ meaning an artist’s studio or workshop), the new feature comprises a walk-through gallery of four room sets, merchandised with products from Spring Fair exhibitors.

Accompanying big-screen videos will play a series of films based on insights from trend forecasters and platforms WGSN, Pinterest, One Click Retail and Coloro, who will discuss product and colour trends.

The main Atelier is in Hall 20, where visitors will be able to ‘travel through time’ learning about home and gift trends. Each room set will be focused on a different time frame, from now to 2020.

Jewellery & Watch in Hall 17 will also be home to The Atelier. This area will concentrate on jewellery and watch products, covering trends from 2018 to 2019 in two displays.

Spring Fair’s head of content Sophy Searight said: “This is one of the most daring and exciting features we’ve ever launched at Spring Fair. The Atelier will give our audience confidence that what they’re purchasing at the show will be on-trend in the future.”
