Typhoon Housewares has joined forces with US company Ar+Cook to bring its air-cushioned tools and gadgets to the international market, as worldwide distributor.
Ar+Cook has taken the technology used to provide air chambers in the soles of running shoes, and applied it to the handles of its kitchen tools. The pockets of pressurised air will not leak or fade, and provide a comfortable, secure grip.
The core of most of the tools is zinc, which can be recycled and provides a good working weight, and the collection offers a range of stylish designs and colours.
