As Christmas Jumper Day approaches, The Rainy Day Trust, the UK’s only charity supporting the home improvement workforce, is raising vital funds for those in need.
Bryan Clover, The Rainy Day Trust CEO, said: “Our Christmas Jumper Day is just a week away now and a great opportunity for people to come to work in a festive jumper for a bit of fun and to support your industry charity at the same time. Get them to donate £1 a head (maybe the business could match it too) and donate the proceeds to support our Christmas Appeal?
“This Christmas is going to be a major struggle for so many people as the cost of food and heating the house has risen so sharply over the last year. Our Christmas Hampers will be going out next week to try and take the sting out of it, and we are already being asked for contributions towards gas and electricity bills. Thank you so much to the businesses that have already committed to support us, we are incredibly grateful.”
