Tefal launches its first connected appliance

Tefal has introduced its first connected appliance: the ActiFry Smart XL.

Controlled via Bluetooth and a dedicated free My ActiFry app, users can wirelessly send more than 200 recipes straight to this low fat fryer.

You select the recipe you would like to cook and the app will take you through each step with images and video demonstrations. When you’re ready, hit ‘Go’ on the app and the ActiFry will do the work for you.

As well as featuring Tefal’s patented heat pulse system and a rotating stirring paddle, the new Smart Technology automatically adjusts the temperature, time and stirring motions according to your chosen meal.

The app keeps you up to date with the cooking process and puts you in control from wherever you are in the house. It features an automatic stop function too, so if you prefer your chips more fluffy than crispy, you can use the app to pause cooking.

Tefal has included a complimentary nutrition course and cooking tips on the app. And to personalise recipes, you can use the app to make notes on your favourites, send them to friends or even update your digital shopping trolley by emailing them to yourself.

The  ActiFry Smart XL has a capacity of 1.7kg and is available now with a RRP of £299.99.

Since its launch in 2006, the Tefal ActiFry low fat fryer has helped over 8 million households make low fat meals with just one spoonful of oil.
