The Cake & Bake Show celebrates awards success

Following a successful second show in Manchester, the Cake & Bake Show has further reason to celebrate after picking up two industry awards last month.

The Cake & Bake Show celebrates awards success

The Cake & Bake Show, which attracted 21,000 visitors to its launch event in London last September, and a further 27,000 visitors to its Manchester edition earlier this year, describes itself as the ‘UK’s biggest experiential baking show’.

It has been named Event of the Year at the British Media Awards. The judges said: “We were particularly impressed with the entrepreneurial flair of this winning event. The team behind The Cake & Bake Show spotted a niche, took an intelligent view on achieving it, and created huge interest through social media. It exceeded its launch expectation with 21,000 visitors – and scaled commercial partners already committed to additional events.” The Cake & Bake Show also picked up the Show Rising Star award at the Exhibition News Awards.

Show director Luke Collings said: “We’re a small dynamic team and it’s been wonderful to have received such a positive reaction from the public, as well both the baking and events industries. The show has captured the nation’s imagination and hunger for baking and we are looking forward to building on our success with new and exciting features.”

The next Cake & Bake Show, featuring the nation’s favourite baking stars, as well as sugarcraft competitions and the hottest food and baking products, will take place at Earls Court in London on September 13-15 and will return to Manchester next year.
