Olympic diver Tom Daley has caused a frenzy online after posting a picture of himself using a multi-sectioned frypan to cook his full English breakfast on Sunday morning.
Since then, the image has reportedly been ‘liked’ 47,900 times on picture-sharing website Instagram. Although Tom doesn’t reveal where he bought his pan, a similar model is available at Lakeland.
The 32cm x 38cm Master Pan is flagged as ‘new’ on the housewares chain’s website. It retails at £59.99 and is described as ‘a divided frying pan for cooking multiple foods’. It features a pair of recessed circles for cracking eggs into and a large, ribbed central area for meat and fish.
The user can cook up to five different foods at once – everything from a complete breakfast to a salmon dinner with accompanying vegetables to a feast of fajitas – with only one pan to wash up at the end.
Made from die-cast aluminium with a double coating of non-stick, it has a Bakelite handle, a heavy gauge, induction-suitable base and can go in the dishwasher.
Lakeland told the ‘Daily Mail’ that sales of the pan had risen 1,000%, meaning its entire stock – intended to last three months – had sold out in just two days.
