Industry charity the Rainy Day Trust is £200 better off thanks to the generosity of members of United Housewares Merchants and their suppliers.
An afternoon’s karting at UHM’s annual corporate event on June 4 and 5 ended with a five-lap race in aid of the charity, won by a team captained by Meyer Group’s Martin Davison.
To mark UHM’s 40th birthday, cabaret at the dinner featured the tribute band the Fab Beatles. The originals were top of the charts when UHM was founded by Charles Burton in September 1968.
