Villeroy & Boch has named Simon Page as its new UK managing director, taking over from current chief Patrick Heeley.

Page takes on the role from January 1 but is joining the company this month for a handover period with Heeley, who is retiring at the end of 2010 after 22 years of leading the business in the UK.

Simon Page has significant retail and wholesale experience as a company director focused in sales, marketing, strategy and management. He has previously worked with leading retail brands including the Aga Rangemaster Group’s Aga Shop, Agalinks and Fired Earth, and Moores Furnishings group.

He will be responsible for Villeroy & Boch’s home retail and hotel and restaurant divisions.
