After showcasing at Ambiente in Frankfurt last month, the two tableware lines were recognised by the 37-strong Red Dot jury for their “success in detail and design”.

Lina and Artesano Original were up against very tough competition this year with 1,865 manufacturers, designers and architects submitting products from 54 countries.

This year’s jury of design experts assessed 4,662 products – more than ever before in the history of the Red Dot – during a process lasting several days. The assessment criteria included degree of innovation, functionality, ecological compatibility and ergonomics.

Villeroy & Boch said the two collections represent the heritage which it is known for, alongside the continuous push for innovation and new design ideas.

Lina is characterised by a playful, modern-vintage feel, using fresh colours and offering many mix & match possibilities.

Artesano Original (pictured) features white porcelain paired with acacia wood, slate and natural cork. The collection is completed with pieces like a tiered server made from wood and slate and a glass tea & coffee line.
