Visits to soar by over 50% in last year has consolidated its position as far and away the most-read medium within the housewares industry, with visits to the website rocketing by more than 50% in the last 12 months.

As monitored by Google, in the year to August 3 2009 visits to rose by 54.08% to 17,553 and the number of visitors was up 31.71% to 11,540. Individual page views increased by a massive 72.59% to 44,956.

Commenting on the figures, editor Jane Oliphant said: “Websites in general are taking over from print media as a source of information and news as it happens, and the growing influence of confirms that the same is true in the housewares industry.

“Our audience continues to grow and now far outstrips that of any of the magazines, with people logging on on a daily basis for updates on both industry news and new product developments.”

She added: “Users can also, of course, register on the site for free to receive their weekly e-newsletter, so that they can be sure they haven’t missed anything.”
