John Lewis Partnership is one of a number of retailers whose sales are being affected as a result of its gift voucher supplier going into administration.

Since BemroseBooth collapsed in June both John Lewis and sister retailer Waitrose have suffered a shortfall of vouchers, and are restricting themselves to using back-up stock only.
One member of staff at Waitrose complained: “Our branch can sell up to £1,500-plus in gift vouchers a week but we have none.”
The Partnership admits that the problem – which also affects store card vouchers – is a serious one both for customers and sales but says it has now found a new supplier.
