Housewares supplier What More UK has announce the recent acquisition of bakeware brand PushPan.
The deal will see PushPan distributed with immediate effect from What More UK’s head office at Accrington in Lancashire.
What More Uk said that Ian Wilkinson, inventor of the PushPan, will continue to work with the brand to further develop and grow the product offering around the world.
“What More is a UK manufacturing powerhouse that delivers around the world,” commented Ian Wilkinson. “This is the perfect home for PushPan.”
Andy Holt, managing director of What More UK, added: “The acquisition of PushPan further demonstrates our commitment to bakeware. The PushPan product is a fantastic addition to our portfolio and we are excited to be working with Ian. We have big plans to grow and develop the range, producing the products in our own factories here in the UK.”
What More UK began producing bakeware earlier this year under the Wham Cook brand, following on from the acquisition of tooling and machinery from the former George Wilkinson site.
What More UK claims that PushPan patented technology offers consumers ‘the only truly 100% waterproof and leak-proof loosed-based tins in the world’. It adds: ‘Designed to be very easy to use with no fiddly spring or unsecured loose bottom, just place the PushPan over a tall can and push down to release the seal. This easy release gives peace of mind and ensures hard work isn’t ruined at the final stage.’
