German design brand AdHoc has been recognised with a German Design Award 2026 for its Impact French Press Coffee Maker, taking home the “Winner” title in the Excellent Product Design – Tabletop category.

The accolade celebrates outstanding and exemplary design achievements, and recognises AdHoc’s commitment to combining innovation, aesthetics and functionality in everyday homeware. The Impact series was created by AdHoc’s in-house designer Roland Kreiter.

AdHoc says the design was inspired by the sensory experience of the first sip of freshly brewed coffee. The Impact French Press blends minimalist elegance with precision engineering, turning the coffee brewing process into what the brand calls “a small ritual”.

Each French press is made from mouth-blown borosilicate glass, known for being heat-resistant and taste-neutral, ensuring pure flavour with every brew. The unit features an optimised stainless-steel filter designed to enhance aroma transfer and deliver a more intense coffee experience.

The PreciseFlow plunger moves smoothly and accurately, supported by a built-in stop mechanism that prevents contact with the glass base. AdHoc’s SilentSeal silicone lid opens and closes quietly while maintaining a secure fit – a feature designed to enhance the calm, sensory ritual of coffee preparation.

All components of the Impact French Press are dishwasher safe and easy to disassemble, blending practicality with contemporary design.
