AIS welcomes all independent buyers to The Housewares Show

For the first time, Associated Independent Stores (AIS) is inviting the general trade to attend The Housewares Show in August.

Up until now, the show has been exclusively attended by AIS members. But the next event, held from Tuesday August 14 to Thursday August 16, will open its doors to all on Thursday August 16, following two private access days reserved for AIS members.

Held at the group’s own exhibition centre, Cranmore Park in Solihull, more than 100 suppliers will exhibit over 1000 brands across categories including Cookshop, Tabletop, SDA, Home Fragrance and Gift, Glassware and Household.

Names include Denby, Le Creuset, Brabantia, Yankee Candle and Joseph Joseph. Their wares will be spread across two ground floor showrooms covering over 3,000sq m.

AIS said: The show is designed specifically and exclusively for independent retailers, giving them the opportunity to view the very latest products from industry leaders in a professional yet relaxed, totally stress-free atmosphere. What is more, entrance, parking, and refreshments are free throughout the day, with a complimentary lunch.’

Admission to The Housewares Show is free but reserved for independent retailers only. For further information and registration, visit the website www.housewaresshow.co.uk.

AIS bills itself as ‘the leading independent buying group for home and fashion in the UK and Ireland’. With a buying throughput of around £500 million, its 250-strong retail membership includes department stores, garden centres and specialists such as cookshops. They are all independent and range from single stores to regional chains with a combined retail turnover of around £2 billion.
