Alesha Dixon has been named by Dulux as the face of its Colour of the Year campaign.
The singer, dancer and judge on ITV talent show ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ took part in a ballet-inspired photoshoot to showcase Teal as the top shade of 2014.
Teal – specifically Dulux’s colour ‘Sea Urchin 1’ – was predicted as the Colour of the Year following research by an 18-strong panel of global colour and trend experts, brought together by Dulux’s parent company AkzoNobel.
Rebecca Thomson, Dulux senior colour & design manager, said: “Teal is a real fashion and interior favourite for 2014, already making its mark on recent Hollywood red carpets and awards ceremonies.”

The paint brand has been predicting the Colour of the Year for over a decade but this is only the second time that Dulux has launched its Colour of the Year with a celebrity ambassador. Last year saw Nicola Roberts from pop group Girls Aloud launch the 2013 shade of ‘Indigo Night’.
