Opening its doors next month, Ambiente is not only the world’s largest consumer goods fair but it also provides the setting for a large number of award ceremonies, staged trend displays and product demonstrations.

Highlights for housewares buyers visiting the Frankfurt show will include the award for Kitchen Innovation of the Year – with the winning products on show in the foyer of Halls 5.1 and 6.1.
The show will also be announcing the Product of the Year, which recognises the best products made in plastic. Visitors can see the award winners in nine categories in Hall 5.1.
Ambiente will also reveal a host of products triumphing in the Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany, and in the Design Plus Award – which honours products that successfully marry good design and functionality. Visitors will find the winners in Galleria 1.
At the other end of the creative scale, the Plagiarius display in the foyer of Hall 5.1 and 6.1 will expose the most blatant examples of product plagiarism – together with the originals.
Meanwhile, visitors can find out about trends for 2011 from the show of four trend themes in Galleria 1, and via a series of lectures in Hall 8.1, Symmetrie 2 room.
All aspects of knives will be covered in the Blades – Klingen display in the foyer of Hall 4.1, while the foyer of Hall 4.0 tells the story of the creation of selected Guzzini classics.
Ambiente runs in Frankfurt from February 11 to 15.
