Tabletop designers are invited to apply for places on the ‘Talents’ programme at next year’s German trade fair Ambiente.
The five-day international exhibition will be held in Frankfurt from February 9 to February 13. It specialises in dining and cooking products, household goods, gift items, jewellery, fashion accessories, interior decoration and furnishing accessories.
‘Talents’ is described by show organiser Messe Frankfurt as ‘a promotional programme, through which Ambiente brings together supply and demand in a number of prominent zones’.
Messe Frankfurt is looking for designers in the areas of tableware and dining, interior design and fashion accessories.
Selected designers will be invited to present ‘themselves and their products’ at the show. They will benefit from free exhibition space.
There are three talent zones, in the Dining Hall 4.0, the Loft of Hall 11.0 and the Fashion Accessories product group in Hall 9.2.
The deadline for submitting applications, along with product details and photographic material, is September 27. Entries should be emailed to talents@messefrankfurt.com. Further details and an online application form are available at ambiente.messefrankfurt.com/talents
Messe Frankfurt said: ‘An innovative product idea and excellent design quality are a gift – but they are often not enough. To turn a smart product into a lucrative success story, a young designer or recent graduate needs two essential resources: contacts and attention.
‘The best way for a creative mind to attract these resources is through Ambiente. It is the world’s biggest consumer goods hub, where companies are continually looking out for innovations. The same can be said for manufacturers, who have the industrial potential to turn very small series into entire production lines.’
Ambiente 2017 featured around 4,460 exhibitors and attracted 141,000 trade visitors from 153 countries.
