The principle retail guest speaker will be Huw Crwys-Williams, senior trading director at Argos responsible for leading the trading function across the homewares, furniture and core electrical categories.

During his presentation, Huw will share the current trading position of the homewares (including small domestic appliances) categories within Argos and explain why these categories are a key focus for the future for the chain. He will also discuss the development of the Argos multi-channel vision, with an update on the six revamped stores in London and the planned roll-out programme for 2015. In addition, Huw will explain the Argos brand versus own-label strategy and why brands are so important to Argos going forward.

Also taking to the stage will be Sarah Selzer from PR Direct Ltd who will talk on the subject of maximising PR with the consumer media, based on her experience and knowledge having worked for a number of high profile brands within the housewares industry.

i2i Events Group managing director of strategy & product development Louise Young and her team will attend as well, to gauge exhibitor feedback from Autumn Fair 2014 and discuss development plans for Spring Fair 2015.

The final guest speaker is David Beech from Brand View: a company that provides international price and promotions intelligence, which enables manufacturers and suppliers to measure and manage their price position within the UK market. This includes the ability to monitor small independents, as well as large multiples, and to provide evidence regarding third party internet activity.

Refreshments will be provided on the day, including a networking lunch. To register your interest, contact Sally Hawkins at sh@BHETA.co.uk
