BHETA and Stax to hold Meet the Buyer event

BHETA is to host a Meet the Buyer event with Stax Trade Centres. The event will take place on Thursday 13th October at the Worsley Park Marriott Hotel, Manchester. This speed networking event allows potential suppliers to meet with a key garden and home improvement / DIY distributor, in timed 20-minute appointments.

Stax is especially keen to engage with suppliers in the following categories: Car Care, Housewares, Christmas, Paint, Garden Furniture, Garden Sundries, Doors, Ladders, Plumbing, K.D Furniture, Garden Tools, Garden Chemicals, Building Materials, Appliances, Electrical, Lighting & Batteries, Household Chemicals, Plastics, Cleaning Materials, Hand Tools, Power Tools, Garden Power, Workwear, Hardware, Ironmongery, BBQs, DIY, Interior Decorating, Bird and Pet Care.

Buyers representing these product categories will all be in attendance and suppliers are encouraged to focus on product features and benefits, together with cost price proposals. Suppliers should also note that Stax will give preference to those who come prepared with a range of products rather than just single items. Sustainable credentials are key for future domestic markets and branded and own label products are always of significant interest. Stax will not consider any suppliers or products on a trial basis, in line with its ‘one in; one out’ policy.

Stax is the UK’s biggest non-food cash & carry wholesaler and trade supplier and has been supplying the trade for over 40 years. It turns over £130m per annum. Open only to independent retailers and tradespeople, Stax supplies over 50,000 businesses right across the UK through six cash & carry/delivery hubs. It stocks 45,000 lines from 1,000 trusted brands as well as an own label range. With over 65,000 Square feet of warehousing, fulfilment, and distribution space Stax provides a fully secure vertical integration of the supply chain and has recently invested £1.2m in its own fleet of LGVs and HGVs to bring flexibility its growing delivered operation.

The price of taking part BHETA’s Stax MTB event is £70 plus VAT per appointment for BHETA members and £149 plus VAT per appointment for non-members at their first such BHETA event. Non-members who have attended a previous BHETA MTB event will be charged £199 plus VAT. The closing date for applications is Friday 30th September 2022 and payment by non-members must be received no later than Thursday 6th October 2022.

Chief Operating Officer of BHETA, Will Jones commented, “This is a really good opportunity for suppliers not already working with Stax. As ever, we expect a big turnout, so I advise booking as soon as possible.”
