BHETA and Tesco share the latest on packaging

In the latest of its series of events focussing on the changing legislation on packaging tax, extended producer responsibility and carbon footprint, BHETA is welcoming back Tesco’s senior packaging manager, Paul Earnshaw, to present details of the leading supermarket’s plastic packaging ambitions and targets.

The webinar, which takes place on May 3 at 10.30 am will introduce all delegates to Tesco’s packaging strategy regardless of supplier status.  In particular, it will keep BHETA members informed on its progress vis a vis its updated ‘Red / Amber / Green’ packaging approach, which Paul first set out to BHETA in a webinar in May 2022.

Following the presentation, attendees will have the opportunity to pose questions directly to Earnshaw.

BHETA’s marketing director, Steve Richardson, said: “Sustainability is a critical topic from every point of view and packaging solutions are a big part of the solution, and of the debate.  Tesco is a pioneer in this area so it will be very useful for all supplier companies to see how its strategy is evolving – not least as a benchmark for others.  BHETA is keen to help members get packaging right for the future, and insight from Tesco an excellent way to ensure ahead of the game.”
