BHETA holds second Ebay webinar

Following the popularity of its webinar with eBay on 14 May, BHETA will be hosting a return ‘visit’ from the eBay team on 11 June at 10.30 am.  eBay will again be represented by its head of trading, Chris Gardner and category manager for home and garden, Rosalind Bridges; and they will be adding to the introductory information previously presented.  Specifically, Chris and Rosalind will be expanding on seller opportunities on the online marketplace site, together with cross border trade and the eBay global shipping programme.  Following the presentation, attendees will have the opportunity to pose questions.

eBay Inc was founded in 1995 in San Jose, California and now facilitates consumer-to-consumer and business-to-consumer sales through its multinational website.  During the Covid-19 pandemic, it has offered what it describes as a free ‘online shop window’ for small and medium businesses during lockdown.

At a further BHETA webinar on 25 June, Made in Britain will be outlining its membership benefits for British manufacturers and discussing the long-term prospects for UK manufacturing.  Made in Britain brings together the British manufacturing community, using the registered collective Made in Britain logo.  This mark is protected and can only be used by members of Made in Britain who meet set criteria.  Made in Britain also offers members sales, marketing, export, and communications support; and a member directory aimed at buyers, specifiers, and consumers.

Commenting on these latest events in what has now become a popular series covering all aspects of operations and sales, BHETA’s marketing manager, Steve Richardson said, “eBay’s swift return demonstrates just how successful these sessions are for both BHETA members and the companies delivering the content.  Again, I expect the event to be well-attended.  The Made in Britain webinar will also be interesting for those BHETA members who manufacture in the UK.  All BHETA’s current statistics, which are supplied by GlobalData suggest a real spike in consumer interest for goods produced in Great Britain and this could prove a significant opportunity going forward.”
