BHETA is holding a webinar to update members on the latest changes in employment law, including practical guidance on the Employment Rights Act and the changes employers need to prepare for as the legislation progresses.

The event takes place on 10 November at 10.30am and will be led by Graham Irons, Employment Law Partner at BHETA business support provider, Howes Percival.

BHETA’s General Manager, Steve Richardson, said: “With the six-month unfair dismissal threshold due to come into effect next year, this is something employers need to have on their radar now. We wanted this session to go beyond simply outlining the changes and give members a chance to hear how they are being interpreted in practice, particularly through recent tribunal cases. It’s a useful opportunity to ask the questions that come up in day-to-day HR decisions.”

Mr Irons is known for his practical, jargon-free employment seminars and training, and is recognised by the Legal 500 for his deep knowledge of UK employment law. A key focus in this webinar will be the planned changes to unfair dismissal rights, with employees due to gain protection after six months’ service from 1 January 2027. The session will explain what this change could mean for employers and how businesses can prepare ahead of its introduction.

The webinar will also cover recent employment tribunal cases, highlighting important lessons for employers and providing practical insight into how employment law is developing. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions throughout the session.  To register for the webinar, visit https://www.bheta.co.uk/events/howes-percival-2026-employment-law-update.
