Black + Blum appoints UK sales agents

Design-led housewares company Black + Blum has appointed three sales agents in a bid to expand business in specialist independent retailers, garden centres, gift shops and other relevant independent channels.

Fiona Smith will take on the role of agent for Scotland, Northumberland, Cumbria and Durham from July 1. Geraldine Finnan has been appointed as the agent for the Midlands and the North of England, while Mark Smith is now covering the West Country and South Wales.

Black + Blum sales director James Hooper commented: “We have been fortunate to recruit three well-regarded and professional sales agents to represent our brand within existing and new retailer partners. I’m looking forward to further expanding our brand footprint in these key regions”

Black + Blum’s new managing director Nick Cornwell added: “Currently business on the high street can be tough. However, when a brand has a compelling proposition that exploits many of the live consumer trends, there are still opportunities to do good business.

“The Black + Blum positioning of great design, with ecological awareness and health and well-being at its heart, puts us in a good place. It means we can provide our retail partners with products that will appeal to consumers becoming more and more aware of these current trends.”

Based on London’s South Bank in the Oxo Tower complex, the award-winning business was founded by its lead designer Dan Black. Now its 20th year, the supplier enjoys success in the UK and internationally with products including its Eau Good water bottle collections and Box Appetit food-on-the-go ranges.

Black + Blum will showcase its latest wares at the Exclusively Housewares exhibition, which will be held at London’s Business Design Centre on June 12 and June 13.
