Bunnings Warehouse moves into South Yorkshire

.

Bunnings Warehouse officially opened the doors to a branch in the South Yorkshire town of Rotherham on Thursday (14 December).

The 70,000sq ft store in Parkgate stocks more than 30,000 home improvement and garden products and offers services including paint mixing, key cutting, a garden centre, timber cutting and in-store DIY workshops.

To celebrate the opening, former professional boxer Johnny Nelson joined a welcome breakfast for staff members.

The store hosted several family activities last weekend (December 16-17) including the famous Bunnings Sausage Sizzle, face-painting, balloon modelling and a story time session led by Santa.

Bunnings is a leading retailer of home improvement and outdoor living in Australia and New Zealand. It acquired Homebase for £340 million in February 2016 – and plans to invest a further £500million building a new Bunnings Warehouse business in the UK and Ireland over a five-year plus timeframe.
