Places are filling up for CHA Independents Day 2014: a practical product training day for independent cookshop retailers run by the Cookshop & Housewares Association (CHA).

The event, which takes place on March 24 at Eckington Manor Cookery School in Worcestershire’s Vale of Evesham, will see delegates explore a mix of cuisines from around the world while developing their knowledge of a range of housewares.
Using recipes from all parts of the globe, specially selected suppliers will highlight the selling points of a range of products. Delegates will use the products, test them out and get first-hand experience of their USPs as the demonstrations illustrate what sets them above the rest and gives tips on how to sell them to customers.
Meyer, Dexam, George East and Le Creuset will bring products from their new collections and some of their top-sellers to ensure a mix of products are available to be tried out.
The day starts at 9.30am and finishes at about 4.30pm. Places are still being sold at the early bird prices of £95 +VAT per person for the day, or £155/170 +VAT (double/single occupancy) including luxury B&B accommodation for the night before. For those staying over, an informal networking dinner will also be arranged for the Sunday evening, subject to an extra charge.
Places for the CHA Independents Day are limited and sold on a first come first serve basis. For more information, go to www.bira.co.uk/independents-day
