Charity benefits from event’s demise

The Rainy Day Trust charity has just become better off to the tune of almost £600.
With the decision taken not to proceed again this year with The Housewares in Motion event the organising committee recently decided to gift the show’s remaining funds to the trade charity.

The Rainy Day Trust exists to care for people in difficult times who have worked in the housewares and hardware industry for more than10 years.

The cheque was handed over by show coordinator Mhairi Coull to Donna Webb, outgoing secretary of the trust.
