Charles Viancin UK has expressed its delight at being recognised in the Supplier of the Year Awards 2014, announced by AIS (Associated Independent Stores) earlier this month.
A host of housewares companies were honoured at an evening ceremony held during the AIS Kitchenware, China, Glass, Cutlery & Small Electrical Sale Show which took place from March 3-5 at the AIS offices in Cranmore Park, Solihull. Awards were given in a range of categories to recognise outstanding quality, sales and service to AIS members.
The Most Promising New Supplier award was won by Charles Viancin. Peter Battersby, who heads up the Charles Viancin UK operation, said: “It’s flattering to be voted for this award by the AIS members. It is even more gratifying when we reflect that AIS members are amongst the best independent stores in the UK.”
AIS is the largest independent non-food buying group of its kind in the UK and Ireland. The Group overall has more than 300 members with a combined retail turnover of around £2 billion out of over 1,000 stores. The group supports independent retailers ranging from single high street shops to flagship department stores and specialist retailers.
