Come Dine with the CHA

The hands-on product-based training day is designed to help independent cookshop owners and their staff improve their product knowledge and skills.

This year’s event will take a ‘Come Dine With Me’ theme, based on the Channel 4 series of the same name. Attendees will find out how to use of products supplied by the event’s sponsors to create inspiring, original and tasty dishes to impress their fellow delegates (or ‘dinner guests’). Sponsors confirmed to date include Dexam, Nordicware and Le Creuset.

Bira marketing director Sarah Golden said: “This event is a superb opportunity for cookshop retailers to meet up, share ideas and enjoy themselves, whilst also learning from the experts about how certain products work and how best to sell them through in-store.

CHA chair Sarah Wood, who is working director of Trevor Mottram cookshop in the Kent town of Tunbridge Wells. agreed, adding: “It’s not just cookshop owners who should attend; it’s a cost-effective training opportunity for sales staff too.

“It’s going to be a fun-packed day in a beautiful setting – the perfect antidote to a hectic day in-store.”
