Currys PC World predicts its top Christmas sellers

Currys PC World has revealed the top 24 tech gifts expected to take pride of place under the nation’s Christmas trees.

According to the electrical retailer, voice-controlled technology will be the most popular presents, followed by high-end speakers and the latest headphones.

One housewares product makes an appearance though: tenth place in the chart is taken by the Nespresso Vertuo coffee machine.

Currys PC World chief commercial officer Steve Ager said: “Voice assistants are exploding in popularity. We’re predicting this festive season will be all about voice control – and with new high-end headphones and speakers making the list, there might just be a little bit of singing too.

“Homebodies are also covered this festive season thanks to the Nespresso Vertuo coffee machine and the Dyson Supersonic hairdryer.”
