Deliveries affected by floods at Morphy Richards

Morphy Richards is warning of delays in deliveries to customers following the flooding of its premises.

The company, based in Mexborough, South Yorkshire, suffered flooding to its headquarters and warehousing when the River Don burst its banks – the second time in seven years that the business has been inundated. It has now moved into temporary accommodation.

Chief executive Phil Green said: “The ground floor of our warehouse and office space have been affected by the water. We have an emergency plan in place for this situation which we are now implementing. We are confident that disruption will be kept to a minimum. We have already moved key operations into local serviced office space and all deliveries are now coming into temporary warehouse space outside the flood zone.

“There is some stock damage,” he went on, “and deliveries to customers have been delayed. Our sales team are in regular contact with our customers to keep them updated.”

The new premises are two miles away at Adwick Park, Manvers, South Yorkshire. The telephone number remains the same: 01709 582402. Sales ordering number is 07912 088100. Fax number is 01709 579905. The company hopes to return to its own premises within a month.
