Following a successful trial run in September, Debenhams is launching its second ‘Diamond Day’ at stores nationwide next Wednesday (October 30).
The event offers customers aged over 60 special offers and treats for one day only. These include 20% off selected lines, 10% off Beauty and Fragrance, a selection of free beauty treatments, and a complimentary cupcake with the purchase of any hot drink.
During the first Diamond Day, the department store group saw customers enjoy over 4,000 beauty treatments and gave out over 8,000 cupcakes. This time around the retailer is also extending its free parking offer – normally a weekend promotion – across the whole week of half term.
Debenhams stores director Angela Morrison commented: “Our first Diamond Day proved a huge hit with our customers that are over 60, and we are delighted to be holding another event for them. There will be a variety of opportunities for our Diamond customers to ‘do a bit of Debenhams’ in our beauty halls, fashion departments and restaurants. And as it’s half term, we’re paying car park costs* too, so it’s even easier if they want to bring the family.”
*Customers who spend £50 in-store in a single transaction at weekends can claim a refund for two hours’ parking fees, except in London and Edinburgh, where the offer is one hour. This offer is available every weekend and will apply across the full week from Saturday October 26 to Sunday November 3.
