Doors open to Tendence 2018

German trade show Tendence opened for business on Saturday (June 30).

The annual show at Frankfurt am Main, which runs until July 3, features 960 exhibitors from 50 countries who are presenting their wares over 94,600sq m of space to an audience of trade buyers.

The wide-ranging product portfolio covers tableware, kitchenware, home textiles, outdoor living, furnishing, decorating, gifts, jewellery and fashion accessories.

After Germany, most exhibitors come from the Netherlands, China, Denmark, Vietnam, India, Sweden, Finland, Poland, Austria and Belgium. And according to organiser Messe Frankfurt Exhibition GmbH, 46% of visitors are international, which remains stable at last year’s level.

Stephan Kurzawski, senior vice president of Messe Frankfurt Exhibition GmbH said: “Tendence is the summer event for the sector where we show the trade the way to a competitive future. In this connection, the high-grade special presentations at Tendence make the fair a unique platform, especially for small to medium-sized retailers. Our primary aim is to offer visitors innovative solutions for a competitive future.”

A complementary programme of events and special shows on offer includes Tendence.Impulse, Outdoor Living, Concept Store Inspirations and the Tendence Academy.

In addition, trade visitors of the concurrent Gardiente trade fair for garden furniture can attend Tendence due to a free shuttle service between the two sites.
