EveryWare Global, the parent of the Viners business in the UK and a global tabletop and food preparation supplier, has strengthened its consumer offering with the acquisition of Metalrax Housewares’ George Wilkinson and Samuel Groves businesses.
George Wilkinson is a well-established manufacturer of bakeware and microwave cookware and Samuel Groves is a manufacturer and importer of light equipment for the foodservice sector.
The Burnley-based George Wilkinson will add brands Mermaid, Great British Bakeware, Cooks Choice and Microwise to the EveryWare product portfolio.
EveryWare says it will use the acquisition to build its presence in the housewares market, providing a ‘one-stop-shop’ for cookware and tabletop brands.
“The combination of such highly respected brands, together with flexible manufacturing capabilities, will enhance our strong brand portfolio and provide ‘speed-to-market’ which is a key value driver with our customers,” said Julian Williams, the managing director of EveryWare for the EMEA region.
EveryWare Global was formed through the merger of Anchor Hocking and Oneida in March 2012.
