The chain has announced plans to open the doors to its Brent Cross store on December 26, for what is predicted to be one of the retailer’s four busiest days of the year.

The branch in north-west London will offer discounts of up to 50% across fashion, beauty and home, with an additional 20% off selected lines from designers including Hugo Boss, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Red Valentino and UGG. Doors will open at 8.30am and close at 6pm with an anticipated average footfall of 1,000 shoppers an hour during trading.

The rest of Fenwick’s stores in London’s Bond Street, Newcastle, Leicester, Windsor, York, Canterbury and Tunbridge Wells, Bentalls in Kingston upon Thames and Bracknell, and Williams & Griffin in Colchester, will launch their winter sales on December 27.

Jenny O Donoghue, managing director at Fenwick Brent Cross, said: “The Boxing Day sale is one of the most anticipated events of the holiday season with the nation looking forward to discovering outstanding discounts on their favourite seasonal products. Brent Cross is the perfect store for Fenwick to benefit from a Boxing Day opening.”

Fenwick Brent Cross opened in 1976 with the launch of Brent Cross Shopping Centre. It offers three floors of fashion, accessories, childrenswear, homeware and beauty products.

Fenwick, founded in Newcastle in 1882, describes itself as the largest independent department store group in the UK with stores in London’s New Bond Street and Brent Cross, Newcastle, Leicester, Windsor, York, Canterbury, Tunbridge Wells, Bentalls in Kingston upon Thames and Bracknell, and Williams & Griffin in Colchester.
