Future assured for Poole and Royal Stafford under new ownership

Denby Pottery owner Hilco has taken control of two more iconic British ceramics brands: Poole Pottery and Royal Stafford.

Future assured for Poole and Royal Stafford under new ownership

Lifestyle Holdings, the holding company which owns Poole and Royal Stafford, changed hands last week. The former owners, the Bello and Finegold families, sold the business to Hilco and have exited the company.

Lifestyle Holdings has not been placed in administration as reported on HousewaresLive.net previously. Royal Stafford and Poole managing director Norman Tempest confirmed to HousewaresLive.net that both brands are in full production in Stoke on Trent, and will continue under the new owners.

However, another Lifestyle Holdings subsidiary, Rickmansworth-based Lifestyle Products, was placed in administration on Tuesday this week (July 12). Lifestyle Products acts as an importer and distributor.

Hilco has owned the Denby and Burgess & Leigh ceramics brands since 2009 via its private equity arm Valco Capital Partners, and now adds Poole Pottery and Royal Stafford via its ownership of Lifestyle Holdings.
