GfK relaunches homewares report

Research company GfK has relaunched its homewares report and added new features.

The report is now annualised, which means GfK is now able to provide year-on-year growths from January 2016 data onwards.

The study also includes 11 more ‘significant retailers’ in the homewares sector, which lifts the total number of retailers whose epos data is included in the report to 26. This in turn increases the report’s overall market coverage to 75% (without the inclusion of furniture) and 65% (with furniture included).

There is also more detail included within the furniture area. Previously GfK offered 26 splits. This has now climbed to 70 separate lines, offering market performance in additional categories such as 3 seater sofas, armchairs, coffee tables and footstools & pouffes.

As well as furniture, the report covers eight homewares sectors: kitchenware, home electricals, home textiles, interior lighting, home utilities. home accessories, bathroom accessories and seasonal.
