GreenPan ‘helped change the face’ of US retail cookware market

Ceramic non-stick cookware brand GreenPan has been listed by US industry magazine ‘HomeWorld Business’ as one of the country’s top 25 housewares products.

‘HomeWorld Business’ published the listing in its 25th anniversary issue and described the brand as ‘having helped change the face of the US retail cookware market with its ceramic non-stick coating marketed as a natural, effective alternative to long-standing polymer non-sticks.

The magazine added: ‘Selecting 25 products for their lasting imprint in the housewares business the past quarter century, from hundreds of successful entries that warrant serious consideration, is no easy undertaking.’

Commenting on GreenPan’s inclusion, UK trade sector manager Darren Murley said the whole company was delighted to share in this honour. “More than half of US consumers now opt for ceramic non-stick cookware and, just as in the UK, GreenPan was the original brand on the market,” he said.

“Over here, we’ve also found a growing number of consumers choosing ceramic non-stick as we successfully communicate the powerful message about its healthier cooking properties – and retailers are increasingly getting behind the sector too.”
