Housewares Magazine and www.HousewaresLive.net are very pleased to announce that retail consultant Guy Cattell, formerly of Morrisons, has been confirmed as a speaker at the Housewares Conference 2015.

Guy has worked in the retail industry for over 30 years – many spent in the housewares arena – and will be known to many houseware suppliers and retailers alike.
Of late Guy held the position of trade planning and academy director for Morrisons Supermarkets. In this role, Guy recently established a training academy for commercial colleagues. The Morrisons Academy has a brand new physical space plus an extensive curriculum for buyers and merchandisers at all levels, designed to train them to fulfil their functions better and provide them with a clear career path.
Prior to this role, Guy was category buying director for Morrisons across home and leisure, household and pet and grocery for nearly 16 years.
Before joining Morrisons, Guy worked for many UK leading retailers including Asda, Boots and Poundstretcher across various functions including buying, marketing, merchandising and store management.
Guy is now a retail consultant and is currently studying for a formal qualification in executive coaching, as well as establishing his own consultancy business: GC2 Retail Consultancy, the website details of which will be available in April.
Organised by Housewares Magazine and www.HousewaresLive.net, the Housewares Conference 2015 takes place on April 22 at Wokefield Park in Berkshire. For further details, go to www.housewaresconference.co.uk.
